Alec Banner-Eve

A dedicated Polo Manager and coach, Alec is passionate about teaching polo and showing people how much fun you can have with it. Building MHF Polo Club was a labour of love and one of the key objectives for him has always been to create a lively, social club that can be enjoyed by players of all levels and ages. Seeing it develop into Hertfordshire Polo Academy is a bonus! Having played all over the world from a young age, he went on to study at Loughborough University and did a stint of coaching at The King’s School in Australia - one of the most prestigious sports schools in the world.

Alec plays professionally, and will be returning to Guards Polo Club for the 2022 season! He is also the go-to man at Silver Leys Polo club… anything Polo, he is your guy.

Chris Milton

Chris grew up in a family involved with horses and was an active member of the pony club throughout his childhood. He started competing in eventing, dressage, SJ and even dabbled with hunting before the Polo Bug took hold. He returned to playing during his Uni years while studying Sport and Exercise Sciences. After University he began working at Rugby Polo Club, the start of his journey learning to produce and retrain young horses for polo, falling into coaching was. a natural progression. Chris has spent a number of years learning, playing and teaching all over the world - Harvard University, Argentina and Australia, working alongside some of the best players around. These experiences have helped him develop his coaching style - blending his equine experience with his knowledge of human performance.

Chris is based at Silver Leys poo club, working with young horses, playing polo and coaching full time for the Hertfordshire Polo Academy. He coaches all levels from our extremely successful youth academy to adults and existing polo players looking to hone their skills and improve on the field.
