The original form of polo: on a big old grass field. Silver Leys Polo Club is now the full-time home to Hertfordshire Polo Academy. Offering 3 full size grass pitches and an all-weather arena.

Lessons are available on a 1-2-1 or group basis. Offers Tuesday - Sunday with a number of additional practice options including club chukkas and Polo Pathway on offer throughout the week. Our coaching team can take you from zero to hero regardless of your riding experience. Lessons are offered Tuesday - Sunday on an individual or group basis.

Our coaches all hold qualifications from the Hurlingham Polo Association, we pride ourselves on a fun and professional attitude and we want you to learn to play with a smile.

We don’t like to boast (we do), but our head coaches (brothers Alec and Ed Banner-Eve) have represented England many times and are some of the best arena polo players in the country… The duo won the Gold Cup 2018 and continue to chase trophies every season. Rest assured, you are learning from the best.

Whether young or old, we have years of experience in making sure you have a great time and improve quickly.

Set in the glorious Hertfordshire countryside, with easy links to London mainline stations and the M11, Silver Leys is the ideal space for learning Polo. Our experienced coaching team will guide you through the game on schoolmaster horses, specially trained to ensure you are in the best hands possible. 

Group and Individual lessons are available and no riding experience is required!
