Chris grew up in a family involved with horses and was an active member of the pony club throughout his childhood. He started competing in eventing, dressage, SJ and even dabbled with hunting before the Polo Bug took hold. He returned to playing during his Uni years while studying Sport and Exercise Sciences. After University he began working at Rugby Polo Club, the start of his journey learning to produce and retrain young horses for polo, falling into coaching was. a natural progression. Chris has spent a number of years learning, playing and teaching all over the world - Harvard University, Argentina and Australia, working alongside some of the best players around. These experiences have helped him develop his coaching style - blending his equine experience with his knowledge of human performance.
Chris is based at Silver Leys poo club, working with young horses, playing polo and coaching full time for the Hertfordshire Polo Academy. He coaches all levels from our extremely successful youth academy to adults and existing polo players looking to hone their skills and improve on the field.
