The penultimate tournament of the Silver Leys Polo season is always a great weekend but this year it is shaping up to have an extra special twist. Silver Leys are inviting a selection of other equestrian disciplines to join the weekend and display the incredible versatility of the animals who are the real heroes of the sport of polo.
Saturday will feature a PoloCrosse exhibition which will be followed up by an opportunity to give the game a go (please drop an email to team@mhfpolo.com to find out more and book in - £5 per person for 30 minutes on own horse, £40 horse hire). In the evening there will be a traditional asado and a live band to keep us all dancing into the small hours so that we are all nice and fresh for an action-packed Sunday.
On Sunday the dramatic polo finals will be generously complemented by a musical number from the dressage world, adrenaline fuelled mounted games from the Pony Club, and even a spectacular hound parade from the Puckeridge Hunt.
Sunday will be completely in aid of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), a wonderful charity who exhibit yet another string to the horses’ bow: the power of rehabilitation.
Join us at the start of September for a spectacular weekend of equestrianism and fun. We are very excited.
